These acrylics are wonderful. They handle much like oils and when dry, they have a sheen and depth of color that is similar to oils as well. Try them...you won't be disappointed.
While I've over the years I've gotten use to mixing custom colors, I rely on this product to provide me with a wide range of colors to choose from as a base. It has saved me hours of work buy buying already mixed colors instead of trying to achieve them myself. The product is easy to mix and blend, and with other Liquitex products, you can create some very interesting effects in your work. They go on smoothly and for the most part, very few of the colors are troublesome when it comes to its opacity. Though the tubes don't look small, if they paint is use properly and watered down to the right consistency for extra smooth painting (similar to pancake batter), a very small amount of the paint is acutally necessary to cover large surfaces. I have very little problem mixign the Liquitex paints with other acrylics and have not once see discoloration as a result of the pigments not being colorfast. They dry at a moderate pace and are easy to clean from all types of brushes.
